Thakur Suraj Pratap (Jackie Shroff) marries Pooja (Ashwini Bhave), a girl from a poor family. Pooja lived with her father, mother and a brother named Raju (Salman Khan). Pooja and Raju are like one soul, so at the time of going to Suraj Pratap's place Pooja and Raju both are sad. So, Suraj agrees to take Raju along with them as a part of dowry. At Suraj's place they are introduced to his sister Jyoti. Jyoti and Raju fall in love with each other. Raju grows up in the house and lives life on the insipid philosophy of Jeejaji's word being God's word. After several years of their marriage Pooja is unable to give birth to a child. Things go awry when Jackie succumbs to the charms of the touring prostitute and her brother. How will Raju bring Suraj's attention towards his sister?
