Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) is the caretaker at the British national gallery. His boss is all set to fire him as Bean sleeps on his job most of the time. But instead, they transfer him to a gallery in Los Angeles. David Langley (Peter MacNicol), the curator in Los Angeles, believes that Bean is the expert who has been sent to talk about the famous painting Whristler's Mother that has been donated to the museum. Watch the hilarious turn of events when Bean bumbles his way through the gallery, making a mess of everything.
