After finishing her education in Abroad, Pragna returns to India. Through her uncle she comes to know that her elder sister Prathiksha has run away from her marriage, with her lover Shashank. Because of her sister's deed Pragna's uncle compels her to marry the same boy. Pragna is in fix, because she loves Adithya, and wants to marry him. Even though she agrees to marry the boy fixed by her uncle. Adithya consumes poison on her marriage day, Pragna rushes to save his life, and her marriage breaks.
