Police Commissioner of Police Suryadev Singh (Amrish Puri) is known as a tough cop. It is famous for him that he does not spare any criminal. He is uncorrupted, fearless, officer. There is nothing in this world that can move him from his duties. His niece Kajal (Twinkle Khanna) is his life, he gets disturbed if anything happens to her. One day they are attacked while workout and since then he started fearing for her life. He appoints a man named Karan (Ajay Devgan) as her bodyguard. But, he is unaware that Karan has been sent by his enemies to kill Kajal. Kajal falls in love with him and slowly he also develops feeling for her. Now, in these circumstances will he be able to kill Kajal?
