The film is based on the real life of Beate Klarsfeld (Farrah Fawcett). Beate was a German housewife who along with her husband Serge - a Jewish law student - began a campaign after World War II. Their aim was to bring Nazi war criminals to justice. Beate survived jail, torture, a number of assassination attempts and arrests.
