Show description
Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is in high school. He was orphaned as a kid and lives with his uncle and aunt. Peter is a nerd who is bullied by many and has a crush on his neighbour Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) that he is unable to talk about. His life changes drastically during a school trip to a laboratory. A genetically modified spider bites Peter. The next day, he finds that he has become muscular, his vision is very clear and he can cling to any kind of surface while crawl over walls. And that's how Spiderman is born. Now he has to take on the evil Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) who has sworn to destroy Spiderman.

The Green Goblin's costume was originally designed to be more bulky and armoured, but Willem Dafoe, having decided to film his own stunts, rejected it in favour of a more streamlined and athletic costume. The final outfit was composed of 580 pieces and took Dafoe half an hour to put on.
