The film is about the unending war between vampires and werewolves (Lycans). Vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and the lycan hybrid Michael (Scott Speedman) try to trace the origin of their ancient feud and the secrets of their bloodlines. This leads them into a battle to end all wars.
