Who said there is no such thing as ghosts? The world’s friendliest ghost comes to HBO with outstanding visual trickery. It all happens one day when Kat (Ricci) and her eccentric dad, Dr. James Harvey (Pullman), a self-styled ‘ghost therapist’ shows up on the doorstep of the desolate Whipstaff Manor. Hired by Whipstaff’s scheming owner, Carrigan (Moriarty), Dr. Harvey has to exorcise the ghostinfested manor from a friendly but lonely young ghost named Casper and his three incorrigibly odious uncles, Stretch, Stinkie and Fatso – so that she can get her hands on the macabre manor’s fabled treasure. As the ill-mannered ghosts go out of their way to scare the ‘fleshies’, Casper is busy making friends with Kat in this funny and lively story based on the comic-book and television cartoon character created more than 30 years ago.
