Disco Dancer

Anil (Mithun Chakravorthy) is a street singer who lives with his widowed mother. One day they are imprisoned with a false charge of a guitar theft by Mr. Oberoi for singing with his daughter. Anil and his mother move to Goa. Anil grows up, & earns his livelihood by dancing on marriage parties but he has not forgotten the insult. Oberoi's son Sam’s mentor is insulted and he takes a vow to bring a far more better singer than him. He comes across Anil. He launches him as Jimmy, but on his first performance Anil's Sister Rita (Kim) and her friends try to hoot Anil's singing and dancing but Anil is successful. Anil becomes a big star and slowly Rita falls in love with him. When Oberoi comes to know about Jimmy's past and his daughter's love for him, he plan to kill him by infusing 5000 volts electric currents in his guitar. But he is saved by his mother who takes his death upon himself and dies. Jimmy becomes a guitar phobic. Will he ever sing again?
