Noorie

Yusuf Fakir Mohammed lives in scenic Kashmir, and is in love with a beautiful girl, Noorie Nabi. Noorie likes him too but wants him to speak to her father, Ghulam. Yusuf gathers enough courage to talk to his prospective father-in-law, but ends up discussing everything else other than marriage. Noorie subtly explains to her father, who is happy to have Yusuf for his son-in-law. Ghulam starts all wedding preparation, but before the marriage could take place, Ghulam dies and the marriage is postponed. Noorie is devastated. Then family friends persuade them to get married, and they agree. Yusuf has to attend to some work out of town for a few days. When Yusuf returns he comes to know that Noorie has committed suicide. Yusuf rushes over to where Noorie reportedly committed suicide, but no one is able to trace her dead body. Yusuf is lead by Noorie's pet dog, Khairu, who seems to know what happened to Noorie.
