Discovery Channel’s new landmark series When We Left Earth: The Nasa Missions details 50 years of NASA’s extraordinary space missions. The series consist of unseen footage and unknown tactics. NASA’s space footage has been removed from cold storage only three times since it came back from space. Some of the original audio recordings have never been accessed before including Apollo’s footage: 40 years later, the film was taken out from the freezer, left to warm up for two days before transferred by a special tele-cine machine.
