Pushpak

(Kamal Hasan) is an unemployed young graduate living in rags and difficulty to meet two ends of his living. He is desperately in search of a job to survive. One day while attending natures call he comes across a wealthy drunkard (Sameer Khakkar) lying in the road side gutter with a lot of cash in his briefcase along with the key to the room of a posh Hotel Pushpak. Tired of all the hardships in his life, he immediately decides to swap the identities amongst each other. He abducts the drunkard and confines him to his room in his chawl. He takes over the identity of the drunkard and shifts to Pushpak. He decides to live life king size. He pampers himself with expensive clothes, shoes, watches and glares. At the hotel he falls for (Amla), daughter of the magician employed by the hotel to entertain the guests in the evening. He befriends her and treats her to her heart’s content. One day he finds out that a man (Tinu Anand) has entered his hotel room and is trying to search him everywhere and is planning to kill him. Now he is in a soup, and has to run for his life
