Big Love

Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) is the owner of a hardware-store chain whose headquarter is in Salt Lake City. He was married to three different women at the same time, which lived in neighboring houses with one connected backyard. Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) is Bill's first and only "legal" wife. His second wife is Nicki (Chloë Sevigny) daughter of Roman (Harry Dean Stanton) a self-styled "prophet" of Juniper Creek. And his third and youngest wife is Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin). As polygamy was a crime in his city, Bill has to keep his multiple marital statuses a secret. Roman was aware of this and to keep her mouth shut she blackmailed Bill into giving him a sizeable chunk of his business profits.
