Inspector Shiv Kumar Yadav (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) lives with his mother and daughter Gauri (Farha). He kills a dacoit named Ujagar Singh. But, when he comes to know that his wife has also died, he adopts Ujagar’s son. He names him Krishna (Sunny Deol). He sends him for Police training. Years later when Krishna returns, he finds that Shiv has married to a young lady named Chanchal (Sujata Mehta). Gauri and Krishna fall in love with each other. Chanchal, who is not happy with this, arranges Gauri’s marriage with other police inspector Girivar (Danny Denzongpa). She also blames Krishna for molesting her. Angered Shiv puts him in a cell. But, just before the marriage Krishna flees from jail and abducts Gauri. Shiv and Girivar join hands to catch Krishna. Will Krishna join the gang of dacoits, as his real father Ujagar singh?
